For our guests or for those interested in spending a day away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we can organise an unforgettable tour of the Roman countryside less than 1 hour's drive from the Hotel donna Francesca to visit a winery where excellent wine is produced and our farm where sheep's cheese and extra virgin olive oil are produced.
Details:
Departure around 9:30am from the hotel and arrival at Tenuta Santa Lucia https://www.tenutasantalucia.com/ where you will be given an explanation of the winemaking process, visit of the barriques and a final tasting of some wines.
Afterwards, you will arrive at the Casale del Farfa farm and visit the olive grove, the sheep sheds and the cheese factory, with an explanation of the pecorino cheese production process. You will also visit the henhouse, whose chickens produce the eggs we use to prepare the desserts at the Hotel donna Francesca.
At around 13:30, lunch will be served in the restaurant we have on the farm, where you will sample all the traditional local dishes, strictly home-made and using km0 ingredients.
Return to hotel at approximately 15:30

The tour can be booked no earlier than three weeks before the date requested and is subject to availability as well as being customisable according to your requests.
